Nature

There are times when I wonder if we made to right decision by moving up north, but when I see pictures like these, I know we did. I love the fact that my girls can stand by the window and watch the animals eat just feet away. Mia loves standing by the window and watching the squirrels. She can do it for hours.

Can't Keep A Girl From Her Food

Apparently when a girl is hungry, there is no way around her and her food!!! Thanks to Mia being the "terror" of the family, we had to totally rearrange the kitchen and lock up ALL food!!!!

Choo Choo

My crazy kids decided to make a train during the icky weather the other day. They have such strong imaginations. I wish I had an eighth of their energy!!

What is with this weather?!?!?!

It is not the greatest of pictures, but this is what the snow looked like at our house last night. We ended up with 7 or 8 inches. It was not fun at all. Half of it is gone already, but we had such a nice green lawn before this. The girls weren't even excited about it. They just want it to be spring!!! Don't be surprised if Adam up and moves us next fall. He is not liking this weather at all! Just kidding, we are here to stay. Lucky for you that live down in southern MN, we would have loved to see just rain. Until next time......................................................

April's Snow

I don't even like typing that bad 4 letter 's' word. Thankfully it is too warm for any of the new stuff to stick, but what is with this weather???

Megan is very excited to start back to dance this Friday. She had to take the month of March off because of vacation. She can't wait to get back into those tap shoes. She has graduation from School Readiness coming up in May. I can't believe she is going to be in kindergarten. I had an informational meeting to go over what a day in kindergarten looks like. She will be worn out after that day.

Madi just got back from a mini vacation down at Nana and Papa's. We missed having her craziness around the house. So much energy in that little girl. She will be done with Preschool next month, but will be starting it all over again in the fall. Since we are going to keep her back for a year, we will be sending her to another year of Preschool.

Mia, Mia, Mia!! What are we going to do with that energy of hers?? She is constantly on the go and I feel like I put on 10 miles a day just trying to keep up with her. She is starting to say more words that we can understand. She still talks gibberish a lot. She will be in some sort of classroom setting next fall, just not sure what yet. It all depends on the schedule for Madi and what days we have open.

As for the people that are "supposedly" in charge around the house, we are busy, busy! We have "date night" once a week. It is nice to get out and have a meal with no kids. I forget by the next week what a hot meal tastes like. I am very excited for next weekend. I get to get away for the weekend and spend some time with my very good friend, Abby. With kids and all, we don't get to spend too much time together, so I am really looking forward to the weekend away from home!

We are looking forward for the weather to get even nicer so it is easier to get outside more often. The mornings are still pretty cool up here and with school two days a week, we hardly ever have time. So, Spring, please come and visit us soon!!!!!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to all of you! I wanted to get this on last night but my computer was being crazy. We had a pretty low key day. We got up at the crack of dawn to see what the Easter Bunn left. Then it was off to church. Brunch was a possibility, but Mia fell alseep hard on the way home. So, we made our way home and put the pizzas in the oven and just relaxed at home all day. It was a nice stress free Easter. Of course the girls got all dressed up in their Easter dresses, but mom and dad looked like they do every other day of the week.. We home you all had a wonderful Easter and hopefully now the snow will disappear!!!!

North Carolina Vacation

My dream came true!!! I got to feed the giraffes. We went to a really neat ranch called Lazy 5. They had a bunch of different animals, including zebras, giraffes, a rhino, Texas Long-horns, reindeer and a bunch of other animals. We rode in the back end of the truck and drove around and fed the animals. The girls enjoyed it immensely.

We went to the mountains one day. The older two really enjoyed it. Here they are sitting up a mile high. We went across the mile high swing bridge at Grandfather Mountain. It was a good time.

We also went to the caverns. We went down and saw the limestone hanging in the caves. It was pretty interesting and Megan actually learned something down there and repeated it. They seemed to have a good time.

The vacation was great and it was wonderful to spend some time with our great friends down there. But, as a mom and a girl, I was ready to come home and get things back to normal.

As you can see, we had a lot of long days and Madi just did not want to get up and be a part of the group at the end of one of them. She is sleeping on an oversized footstool. What a silly little girl!!!!
